What is a Confined Space?

A congfined space would normally be defined as any space of an enclosed nature.   Some confined spaces are fairly easy to identify, eg enclosures with limited openings such as:

• Pumping Stations
• Enclosed Drainis
• Sewers
• Opentopped chambers
• Unventilated or poorly ventilated rooms
